Charles Croucher (1774-1857)
- was born about 1774, at Sopley, Hampshire.
- worked as a bricklayer's labourer.
- died of old age at Portmore Common, Boldre on 18th August 1857, aged 82, and was buried at Boldre.
- married Ann Etheridge (daughter of Henry Etheridge and Mary Hancock) at Christchurch Priory on 16th December 1793.
- had eight children:
- Charlotte Croucher was christened at Ringwood on 9th February 1794. She married James Smith.
- Isaac Croucher was born at Brockenhurst about 1795.
- Elizabeth Croucher was born at Boldre about 1798.
- Ann Croucher was christened at Boldre on 6th June 1802, but lived only 10 days.
- Henry Croucher was christened at Boldre on 11th December 1803.
- John Croucher (born 1806).
- Charles Croucher was christened at Boldre on 4th November 1810. He married Edith and had 3 children.
- Sarah Croucher was christened at Boldre on 2nd January 1814.

John Croucher (born 1806)
- the son of Charles Croucher.
- was born at Boldre, Hampshire and christened there on 25th May 1806.
- worked initially as a labourer, but by the mid-1850s was a farmer of 30 acres at South Baddesley.
- died around 1865.
- married Sarah Godden (daughter of James Godden and Mary Crouch) at Boldre on 13th October 1831.
- had six children:
- James Croucher was born at East End and christened at Beaulieu on 8th February 1835.
- George Croucher was born at Thorn's Cottage and christened at Beaulieu on 1st September 1837. Moved to the Isle of Wight to work as a farm bailiff. His son, Silas John, emigrated to Australia.
- Mary Ann Croucher was born at Beaulieu Rails and christened at Boldre on 2nd August 1840.
- John Croucher was born at Beaulieu Rails and christened at Boldre on 21st August 1842.
- Henry Croucher was born in Boldre parish about 1850.
- Arthur Croucher (1853-1893)

Arthur Croucher (1853-1893)
- the youngest child of John Croucher.
- was born at East End, Boldre on 7th December 1853 and christened there on 29th January 1854.
- worked as a carpenter.
- moved to the Isle of Wight as a teenager, with his mother and elder brother, George.
- died at Upton Road, Haylands on 26th December 1893, aged 40.
- married Elizabeth Marshall (daughter of William Marshall and Elizabeth Slatcher of Huntingdonshire) at All Saints, Ryde, Isle of Wight on 21st March 1878.
- had three children:
- Olive Louise Croucher was born at Haylands and christened at St Michael's, Ryde on 1st March 1879.
- Arthur Croucher (born 1881)
- Ernest Croucher was born at Salters Lane, Haylands and christened at St Michael's, Ryde on 12th August 1883.

Arthur Croucher (born 1881)
- the eldest son of Arthur Croucher.
- was born at Haylands on 15th May 1881 and christened at St Michael's, Ryde on 18th September 1881.
- worked initially as an indoor servant and later as an assurance agent.
- served with the Royal Army Medical Corps during the Great War.
- married Lucy Mary Milmore Beere (daughter of William Isaac Beere and Blanche Emily Arnott Phillips) at Brading on 15th January 1905.
- had six children:
- Ernest Arthur Croucher was born in 1905.
- Olive Elizabeth B Croucher was born in 1907.
- Hilda Edith Croucher was born in 1909.
- Doris Croucher, was born at 26 Colenutts Road, Ashey, Isle of Wight on 21st December 1911. She married Percival Victor Mew.
- Lucy Croucher was born in 1913.
- Verdun B Croucher was born in 1916. She was named after a battlefield, where her father had served as a stretcher bearer.
