William Stone (died 1680)
- was buried at Pirton, Worcestershire on 5th August 1680.
- died intestate, with Administration being granted to his wife Elizabeth at Worcester on 15th September 1680.
- married Elizabeth Laue at Pirton, Worcs on 13th June 1660.
- had 9 children:

Walter Stone (1666-1734)
- the eldest surviving son of William Stone.
- was christened at Pirton, Worcs on 14th March 1666/7.
- was a Yeoman of Pirton.
- was buried at Pirton, Worcs on 23rd July 1734.
- died intestate, with Administration being granted to his sons William and John at Worcester on 22nd July 1735.
- married Ann Adams (daughter of Thomas Adams of Severn Stoke) at St Helen's, Worcester, by licence, on 3rd May 1707.
- had 10 children:
- William Stone was christened at Pirton, Worcs in 1708.
- Elizabeth Stone was christened at Pirton, Worcs on 27th September 1709.
- John Stone (1711-1792).
- Ann Stone was christened at Pirton, Worcs on 31st May 1713.
- Ann Stone was christened at Pirton, Worcs on 18th October 1714.
- Robert Stone was christened at Pirton, Worcs on 20th November 1715.
- Edward Stone was christened at Pirton, Worcs on 12th February 1716/7.
- Mary Stone was christened at Pirton, Worcs on 3rd February 1717/8.

John Stone (1711-1792)
- the second son of Walter Stone.
- died at Clifton and was buried at Severn Stoke, Worcs on 1st January 1793.
- wrote his will on 17th March 1785, which was proved at Worcester on 27th November 1793.
- married Elizabeth Wargin (of Severn Stoke) at Worcester Cathedral, by licence, on 1st June 1743.
- had 7 children:
- Susan Stone was christened at Pirton, Worcs on 11th June 1744. She was still alive in 1785.
- John Stone Esq (1745-1811).
- William Stone was christened at Pirton, Worcs on 24th April 1748. William, a yeoman, remained a bachelor and was the sole executor to his father's will. He died at Clifton and was buried at Severn Stoke on 23rd May 1820.
- Elizabeth Stone was christened at Pirton, Worcs on 3rd May 1752. She married John Davis Morris at Severn Stoke on 19th April 1780. They settled at Feckenham and had several children.
Their son George (ch. 1791) later settled at Clifton, and his son George William (ch. 1826) was living at Clifton Court in 1881 - a farmer of 240 acres.
- Ann Stone was christened at Pirton, Worcs on 23rd March 1755. Ann remained a spinster, and was the sole executrix to her brother William's will. She died at Kempsey and was buried at Severn Stoke on 30th November 1830.
Her will was proved at Worcester on 12th March 1831 by her niece Mary Morris.
- Mary Stone was christened at Severn Stoke, Worcs on 17th July 1757. Mary remained a spinster. She died at Clifton and was buried at Severn Stoke on 16th December 1811.
- Sarah Stone was christened at Severn Stoke, Worcs on 12th May 1761. Sarah remained a spinster. She died at Clifton and was buried at Severn Stoke in November 1807.

John Stone Esq (1745-1811)
- the eldest son of John Stone.
- was christened at Pirton, Worcs on 8th September 1745.
- was a Justice of the Peace.
- became a major landowner in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.
- bought Chambers Court at Longdon, Worcs as his main residence.
- died at Chambers Court on 14th March 1811, and was buried at Longdon five days later.
- wrote his will on 10th June 1810, which was proved at the PCC on 13th April 1811.
- married Arabella Thorley (daughter of Capt Edward Thorley and Mary Baker) at Chetwynd, Salop, by licence, on 5th September 1805.
- had 2 children:
- Edward Gresley Stone Esq (1807-1897).
- Henry John Stone was born on 22nd August 1808 and christened at Longdon, Worcs on 29th September, but he died aged 4 months and was buried there on 6th January 1809.

Edward Gresley Stone Esq (1807-1897)
- the only surviving child of John Stone Esq.
- was born on 26th March 1807 and christened at Longdon, Worcs on 16th July that year.
- was well provided for - having been orphaned before his 4th birthday.
- was educated at Winchester School and University College, Oxford, where he matriculated on 8th February 1826.
- was a Magistrate and Deputy Lieutenant for Worcestershire and Essex.
- was elected High Sheriff of Worcestershire in 1847.
- died at Lansdown Crescent, Cheltenham on 23rd February 1897 and was buried at Longdon, Worcs.
- wrote his will on 1st June 1894, which was proved at Gloucester on 27th April 1897.
- married Susannah Shepherd (daughter of Revd Henry Shepherd, late Senior Chaplain of the HEIC) on 1st June 1829 at Langley Marish, Buckinghamshire.
- had 4 children:
- Revd Edward Henry Montague Stone was born at Margaretting, Essex on 13th March 1830. He was educated at Rugby School (from August 1845) and Wadham College, Oxford (from 1849).
He later became Perpetual Curate of Queenhill, Worcs and lived at Holdfast House near Longdon. Edward married firstly to Jane (daughter of Revd Henry Somers-Cocks) at Leigh-with-Bransford in 1855, and secondly to Elizabeth Parker at Great Comberton in 1862.
Edward died on 5th September 1891 and was buried at Longdon.
- Captain Edgar Gresley Stone was born on 3rd January 1832, and followed his elder brother to Rugby School in February 1847. He joined HM Bengal Army, gaining medals for action at Pegu and the Defence of Lucknow (1857-58).
Edgar was in command of the left wing of HM 5th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry when he died of Asiatic Cholera on 7th November 1864. He was buries at Dacca, East India.
- Lieutenant Richard John Thorley Stone was born in 1837. He entered the regular Army, serving with the 55th Regiment at Sebastopol. Richard was was only 18 on 7th June 1855, when he fell during the attack on the quarries.
He was buried at Cathcarts Hill, Sebastopol.

Captain William Harry Stone (1840-1919)
- the youngest son of Edward Gresley Stone.
- was born at Coptfold Hall, near Margaretting, Essex on 29th August 1840.
- was educated at Cheltenham College, which he entered in January 1854.
- took a commission in the 4th (Kings Own) Regiment in 1858, being promoted to Lieutenant in 1862.
- came under pressure from his parents to retire from active service, following the premature death of 2 of his brothers.
- left his Regiment in 1865 to become Captain and Adjuntant of the Royal South Gloucester Militia.
- was sole beneficiary and executor to his father's will.
- died on the 27th March 1919, and was buried at Longdon, Worcs.
- was married firstly, by his eldest brother, to Isabella Cecilia Blunt at All Saints, St Marylebone on 24th July 1866.
- had 4 children:
- Henry Ernest Thorley Stone was born at Longdon, Worcs on 27th September 1867. He was educated at Cheltenham College, which he entered in September 1881.
In 1901 Henry was working at a Preparatory School in Sutton, Surrey as an under-master.
- William Cecil Stone was born at Gloucester on 21st October 1870. He was educated at Cheltenham College, which he entered in April 1885.
Cecil was in the Natal Police but died of fever on 22nd March 1900 at Ladysmith, Natal while serving in the Boer War.
- Isabel Evelyn Stone was born at College Gardens, Gloucester on 13th August 1875. She remained a spinster.
- Mabel Ethel Stone was born at Cathedral House, Gloucester on 26th December 1876. She married Walter Ernest Onslow Campbell Blunt at Cairo on 15th November 1899.
Mabel died at Frimley, Surrey on 16th March 1867.
- William was married, secondly, to Kate Bryant Leman (formerly Hawkins) at Bath Register Office on 22nd February 1916.
